KOPY is an AI keyboard for iPhone that reads the message you received and generates a reply that actually sounds like you wrote it. Funny, professional, flirty, or thoughtful — in any app, in seconds.
The story
The idea for KOPY came from a simple frustration: staring at a message, knowing exactly what vibe you want to reply with, but spending five minutes figuring out how to say it. Or worse — firing off something rushed and regretting it.
Most AI writing tools require you to leave the app, paste text somewhere, wait, copy a result, and switch back. That workflow kills the moment. We wanted something that lived where conversations actually happen — on the keyboard itself.
So we built KOPY as a native iOS keyboard extension. You copy the message you received, switch to KOPY, pick a mode and tone, and tap Generate. The reply inserts directly into the text field. No switching. No copying. Two seconds.
The harder part was making replies that don't sound robotic. We spent a lot of time on the prompt engineering side — building rules that prevent AI clichés, enforce natural language patterns, and match the energy of the incoming message. The result is replies that feel like you wrote them, not an AI assistant trying too hard.
