We do not scrape the timeline. We generate from text you copy: a post, a reply, or a DM. Public versus DM is your job to notice. The model will not know whether your composer is a public reply field or a locked DM unless you pick tone like you know the blast radius.

Public replies have a ratio surface

Ratio risk is the chance that a reply becomes the main character. Funny that punches down, Disagree that misreads a quote, Insight that lectures a joke account — those drafts look clever in a vacuum and expensive in a screenshot. The KPI is not wit density. It is whether the sentence still works if a hostile quote-tweet adds a caption.

Brevity is a safety feature. Long public replies look like essays begging for a dunk. One or two sentences, one claim, no nested clauses. If you need nuance, the move is often: short public pointer, then DM. That public-to-DM handoff is the distinctive Twitter job. WhatsApp has no such stage. Discord servers have channels, but they are not the global firehose.

• Reply to a joke: Social plus Funny, then delete anything that needs a footnote.

Modes that respect a firehose

Social plus Funny is for banter that would not embarrass you on a billboard. Insight plus Disagree is for corrections. Work plus Professional is almost never for public X unless you are a brand account answering a customer, and even then you should sound like a person. Dating plus Rizz in a public reply is a spectacle. Do that in DMs if you do it at all.

We generate in under two seconds because the thread will add twenty replies while you overthink. Speed is still not a reason to send the first dunk. The accept gate on X is the most important gate in the product. Other apps punish silence. X sometimes rewards silence. Use that.

What we will not fake

We will not quote a made-up ratio percentage, follower growth, or For You distribution. We will not claim KOPY posts for you or manages a client. It inserts text. You hit reply. If an app blocks custom keyboards, Apple's rules allow that; banking-style rejection is documented in the extension guide. If X's composer rejects the keyboard in a given field, switch back to the system keyboard and type.

Clipboard hygiene: do not copy a draft tweet with an embargoed link and then generate in a different app. Pasteboard is global. Full Access readers can see it. Overwrite the pasteboard with a harmless string after you generate if you are paranoid. Privacy-conscious users who live on Telegram will want that habit here too.

A realistic public hour

You copy a hot take about remote work. Insight plus Disagree, one process claim, no insult. You preview it as a quote and realize you are adding heat for no reason. You delete, open DMs if you know them, Neutral: I think the missing variable is process, not location. Want to argue there. That is public-to-DM done correctly.

Next, a joke post. Funny, eight words, send. Next, a pile-on on a stranger. You close the keyboard. That is also a successful session. KOPY's job is not to fill every composer.

Communities and long-form posts on X change the length budget slightly, not the blast radius. A Community reply is still public to that Community. Do not import Discord-mod voice or Telegram-topic voice without checking the room's joke layer. If the post is a screenshot of a private chat, pause. Generating a public reply that restates the private chat is how you launder a DM onto the firehose. Close the composer.

Lists, bookmarks, and notifications create a fake urgency. A notification is not a contract to reply. The public-to-DM move is for people you actually owe a conversation. For strangers, the correct keyboard action is often globe-switch back to the system keyboard and lock the phone. KOPY should not raise your reply rate to every ratio bait.

Handles, display names, and old usernames in clipboard text confuse drafts. If you copied a profile bio by accident, you will generate a reply to a bio. Check the chip. Copy the post body. Bios are not asks.

Search, Grok-style summaries, and screenshot accounts mean a reply can be detached from the parent post. Write the sentence so it still has a referent if someone pastes it alone. Pronouns with no noun are how you look unhinged in a quote. Repeat the claim you are answering in a few words, then land. That is extra length you should spend. Cushion language is length you should not.

Spaces and live audio are not keyboard surfaces. When you drop back to text after a Space, you are often writing a recap. Insight, three facts, no fake transcript. If you were not in the Space, do not generate a recap. That is fabricated context, which is worse than silence.

Old tweets in clipboard are a time-travel bug. People copy a 2019 post and reply in 2026 tone. Check the date in the app before you generate. KOPY will not see the timestamp unless it is in the copied text. Add a stub if needed: this is a six-year-old post. Otherwise you will scold a fossil and look like you just arrived.

Brand accounts on X have a customer-service register that is closer to Work than Social. Professional, one next step, no dunk even when the customer dunked first. Public customer-service is a ratio sport for the other side. Your KPI is de-escalation, not clapbacks. Save Funny for your personal account, and even there, run the screenshot test.

Mutuals versus strangers should change the public-to-DM threshold. Mutuals can get a DM that says I did not want to pile on, here is the actual disagreement. Strangers rarely owe you that courtesy, and you rarely owe them a DM. Generating a DM opener to a stranger who posted a joke is how reply-guy energy leaves the timeline and arrives as a notification.
